Get rebates up to $75 on eligible ENERGY STAR® certified refrigerators.

With an ENERGY STAR certified refrigerator, you can maximize your energy savings while enjoying all the high-performance features you want: improved insulation that keeps food fresh, compressors that generate less heat, and precise temperature and defrost control mechanisms. Purchase yours now and get a rebate up to $75.

ENERGY STAR certified refrigerators are about 9 percent more energy efficient than models that meet the federal minimum energy efficiency standard. That means when you properly recycle your old refrigerator and replace it with an ENERGY STAR certified model, you can save more than $200 over the 12-year average lifetime of the new unit.*

Additional Information

Follow these tips to make sure you’re minimizing the amount of energy your refrigerator uses.

  • Keep your refrigerator’s interior temperature between 35°F and 38°F.
  • If possible, position your refrigerator away from sources of heat (e.g., an oven, a dishwasher, or direct sunlight).
  • Allow air to circulate behind your refrigerator by leaving a few inches of space between the wall and the unit. Also, remember to clean the condenser coils regularly; refer to your owner’s manual for more information.
  • Make sure your refrigerator’s door seals are airtight—and replace them if they aren’t.
  • Keep the door closed as much as possible.
